Armed Guard/Civilian Active Shooter Training
The Tennessee General Assembly passed Public Acts Chapter 367 (2023) that requires active shooter training for every licensed armed security guard who provides security or patrol services in a public school, public charter school, private school, or church-related school. This new law is effective July 1, 2023.
ARMED GUARD/CIVILIAN ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING
Armed Guard Active Shooter Training Qualification
All training must be completed prior to working in one of the environments stipulated by the statute. This will be an 8-hour class as mandated by the State of Tennessee.
Class will consist of classroom, firearms training, and Simunitions training to include hallways and entry ways similar to law enforcement training.
Civilians are welcomed in this class. You will learn if necessary how to react if you are involved in an active shooter, either in your home, place of work, or any other venue you may be at. (Public or Private location.)

· Simunitions/Scenario Training
· Room clearing/Movement to Contact
· Firearms Drills/Marksmanship
· Qualifications of above material in a go-no go grade.
PREREQUISITE: Armed Guard License/ Recommended for Civilian to have a basic competency in use of handgun.
